Journalists: Send us your bone and joint health stories

ROSEMONT, Ill. (August 14, 2017)—Entry to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2018 Media Orthopaedic Reporting Excellence (MORE) Awards is now open. These awards recognize excellence in accurate reporting on musculoskeletal health issues, innovative treatments, preventative care and stories of recovery. The Academy invites all journalists to submit their stories by Monday, October 9, 2017. Members of the public also may nominate a story for a MORE Award.
 
Eligible entries must have been published or broadcast between October 1, 2016 and October 1, 2017.  The submission process is simple and free. Email a link to the story to media@aaos.org.
 

Stories can feature any bone and joint health-related topic, including orthopaedic conditions, clinical research, musculoskeletal health trends, and policy, as it relates to musculoskeletal health.

MORE Awards will be given to stories written or produced for a consumer audience in the following categories:
  The MORE Awards will be presented in Washington, D.C. at the Academy’s 2018 National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference.
 
The 2017 MORE Award winners were a diverse group of health and medical writers, producers and
